The CapturedDiscipline® Safe will help you defeat an unhealthy habit and you will like yourself a whole lot more!
Peer-reviewed articles have shown that when an individual defeats an unhealthy habit there is a significant improvement in physical health (possibly life-saving) and a significant increase in self-confidence.
Watch this video to learn how the creator Tom Hitt has defeated his own unhealthy habits using Captured Discipline:
The CapturedDiscipline® 3.5 time-lock safe is a solid steel digital safe that limits access to items that are unhealthy, or can become unhealthy (or fatal) when not used in moderation. The safe works along with the instinctive, intuitive, desired, and repeatable ability of an individual, to voluntarily and irretrievably lock up anything, for any period of time they choose – from 1 minute to 999 days.
My story: My name is Tom Hitt. I am the developer and owner of the CapturedDiscipline® safe. This page was created specifically for individuals who clicked on our ad regarding “Drinking in Moderation” — or clicked on it in our Navigation Bar.
With the help of our customers, we have identified over 200 (and counting) uses for the CapturedDiscipline® safe. This particular use of a CapturedDiscipline® safe (being able to drink in moderation) is personal for me.
I developed the CapturedDiscipline® safe because I was drinking too much beer. I knew, from two tragic personal experiences, that drinking would kill me (literally) if I wasn’t very careful about how much I drank.
My parents, Will and Ruth Hitt (Uncle Will and Aunt Ruthie to their many friends) were good people. They were talented and smart. My Dad could build anything with his hands, he played a mean clarinet, and he had a heart of gold. He would do anything for anybody.
If they had IQ tests for being gifted back then, my Mom certainly would have been identified as being “highly gifted.” She was so smart, and a talented artist. And … a wonderful hostess for the many parties my Mom and Dad hosted.
But, sadly, they both drank, hard liquor, heavily, every single day. They were both … alcoholic.
They ultimately divorced, lived alone, and in their mid-70’s, died as a result of their alcoholism. They should have lived at least 15 years longer. My Mom and Dad both died alone, lonely, and very sick.
Both of my parents died painful-unpleasant alcoholic deaths.
In 1992 I had the first prototypes of the CapturedDiscipline® safe built to my specifications. Since then, for 22 years, I have used CapturedDiscipline® safes to allow me to enjoy drinking, safely, in moderation. I have also used CapturedDiscipline® safes to get my weight down and keep it down; from a high of 194 to a steady (for many years) 162 to 168 (I am 5′ 10″). I am 71 years-old, and on most every Saturday or Sunday I “run” 8 to 15 miles. I largely credit CapturedDiscipline® safes with the good health that I have.
When individuals succeed in defeating an unhealthy habit, there are obvious physical health benefits.
What is less well-known, and nearly as important, are the benefits of a significant increase in … self-confidence.
As is often the case, one of our customers said it better than we could:
“I’ve read many times that it takes an average of 11 quit attempts to quit smoking for good. That’s about what it took me, with my CapturedDiscipline® safe being my final and truly successful quit attempt. AND, my self confidence has gone up a lot. THAT was an unexpected and very good surprise.”

Alcohol statistics: Why Moderate Your Drinking
Excessive alcohol use is responsible for approximately 88,000 deaths each year in the United States.
Excessive alcohol use is the 3rd leading lifestyle-related cause of death in the United States (using tobacco products is 1st; being out of shape and overweight is 2nd).

Approximately 1 in 21 adults in the United States have an alcohol abuse problem.
Approximately 1 in 26 adults in the United States are alcoholic.

Approximately 3.8 percent of Americans are alcoholic (approximately 9 million individuals).
If you know that you are an alcoholic, our product is probably not a good idea for you. Consult with your medical professionals.
An additional 4.7 percent of Americans abuse alcohol (approximately 11 million individuals), but are not alcoholic.
If you have a drinking problem, but are not alcoholic, a CapturedDiscipline® safe will enable you to drink in moderation.
If you are one of the 11 million Americans who is abusing alcohol (but are not alcoholic) … and if you want to successfully moderate your drinking, a CapturedDiscipline® safe will empower you to drink in moderation.

The 3.5 CapturedDiscipline® safe and … drinking in moderation:
In many cases, the 3.5 CapturedDiscipline® safe will not hold all the alcoholic beverages an individual’s home. Not to worry, there is an easy and inexpensive solution.
Home Depot, Lowes, etc. sell a wide variety of padlockable tool boxes and chests made out of strong durable plastic. You place all the alcohol in your home in one of these padlockable containers, keeping out what is reasonable for you to drink in the next 24 hours. You padlock the container, and place the padlock key in your CapturedDiscipline® safe. You set the lock-time for 24 hours, or any amount of lock-time that suits your needs.
These tool boxes and chests come in many different sizes, from very small (think locking up ice cream in your freezer) to very large chests that will hold all the alcoholic beverages in your home, even if you have a large supply of alcohol on hand because you often entertain.
Here are just three of the links to padlockable storage containers:

Large: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rubbermaid-120-gal-Deck-Box-with-Seat-FG5E3900OLVSS/203180118
Or, if you have a closet to dedicate to Drinking in Moderation, install a padlock on that closet door, put all the alcohol in your home in that closet, put the padlock key in your CapturedDiscipline® safe, set the lock-time you need, and you will be well on your way to Drinking in Moderation as a permanent and healthy way of life.
